HPSS will work with schools to embody the seven indicators of high performing schools which are: Aligned and Rigorous Curriculum, Effective Instructional Practices, Use of Assessment Data, Culture Focused on Student Achievement, Shared Leadership and Collaboration, Focused Professional Development, and Parent and Community Involvement.
WHY HPSS
Managing the performance of your school is vital to the effective delivery of a high quality, results-oriented instructional program. We utilize indicators of high performing schools as the foundation for a continuous improvement process that focuses on aligning practices, policies, and programs to achieve school performance goals and achievement targets. Together, we will develop four year strategic plans for curriculum, technology, and resources which are aligned with the Education Plan, School Improvement Plan, and the budget. Our goal is to create and sustain high performing schools in order to increase achievement for all students.
APPROACH
HPSS utilizes Data Driven Decision Making (DDDM) by working with staff to develop a culture of using data to inform instruction, to transform the classroom, and to provide targeted and focused lessons that meet the individual needs of every student.
HPSS implements a Response to Intervention (RtI) program that allows for whole group
instruction and intervention; small group targeted and focused instruction and intervention; as well as intensive student support.
HPSS utilizes Technology to Enhance Instruction (TEI) while redefining schools by implementing student-centered learning, facilitated by experts in content, supported by educational technology, while being housed in traditional school buildings. Technology is not the solution; it provides the structure to support the system that will fundamentally change the way we “do” school.
